Looking for Foster Homes

It's a kitten/puppy season.  We are looking for foster families to take care of animals temporally.  There are many kittens waiting for going to foster care at Kent shelter, and you can pick anybody who are ready to be fostered. If you are thinking about adopting a cat/kitten or a dog/puppy, it is a good opportunity to know what an animal's personality is like or whether he/she fits your home environment.  Please contact us at: CuteFosterKitten@gmail.com or ariev@msn.com  about foster care orientation. -To provide a safe environment.
-To socialize animals so that they can be adoptable.
-To keep kittens/puppies until they get big enough to be fixed (many kittens without Moms are less likely to make it.)

***How to Become a Foster Family***

1)  Attend foster care orientation
2)  Bring animals to your home from the Kent or Crossroads shelter
3)  Take care of them until they are ready to be adopted
4)  Take them back to the shelter for spay/neuter if needed.
5)  Take them back to shelter for adoption once they are healthy and strong or advertise on petfinder.com. 

***Steps to Take for kittens****

1)  Get young kittens (new-born to 8 weeks old or sick ones) from Kent shelter
2)  Take care of them until they hit 2 pounds or healthy enough to be spayed/neutered
3)  Take them back to Kent shelter once they are old enough to be fixed
4)  Advertise them for adoption (petfinder etc)
5)  Meet with people at a shelter who are interested in adopting them
6)  Go back to Step 1

***Steps to Take for Sick Cats***

1)  Get sick cats from the Kent or Crossroads shelter
2)  Take care of them until they are healthy enough to be adopted
3)  Advertise them to the public once they get healthy.  Make sure to quarantine sick cats from healthy cats.
4)  Take the same steps on 5 & 6 above
